My paternal grandfather William Snaden was Scottish, and the pattern below is one of the Cameron of Erraught tartans (a tartan is a pattern woven into cloth used for kilts and other clothing) that the Snaden clan is entitled to wear through descent from Clan Cameron. Snaden is Danish for “Clan of the Hills”. The Danes had a great influence apart from William the Conqueror’s well-known invasion.
